Taufik Nandipinto

Executive Leadership Team (ELT)

Taufik commenced his martial arts training while still in his junior school days in 1988. His initial background in martial arts is based in the martial systems of his homeland, Indonesia.  He has studied several Silat systems with noted and experienced instructors that have not only passed on their knowledge relative to fighting skills but also enhanced the development of his knowledge of inner strength.

He has also had the opportunity to be exposed to other systems training with different instructors including Glen Gardiner, a former Australian Army Officer and Military Unarmed Combat (MUC) instructor and martial artist.  It was Glen who exposed Taufik to the Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), Zen Goshu Goshin Jutsu and MUC.

Taufik, has had the opportunity to compete nationally and internationally in Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines and to conduct seminars in various locations in Indonesia.

Taufik, is a member of the CMAA Management Committee assisting in the development of students and fighters competing nationally and internationally. He continues his own training in Cacoy Doce Pares, Zen Goshu Goshin Jutsu and MUC. He still competes, focusing on his own training as well as the needs of the CMAA students.

Taufik initially started training Pencak Silat "Perisai Diri" with Senior Instructor Bibit Waluyo for a period of two years. This was followed by another pencak silat style, "Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT)", where he trained for another 4 years.

In 1994, he started training pencak silat Merpati Putih(MP) with Senior Instructor Muhammad Hasan and Senior Instructor Ardi for 7 years and was graded Balik II.

The MP System offers empty hands technique as well as focusing on the building of inner power through the practice of unique breathing techniques and body movements.

In late 2008, he commenced training at the Combined Martial Arts Academy (CMAA) with Senior Instructor Glen Gardiner, training Arnis Eskrima, Zen Goshu Goshin Jutsu and Military Unarmed Combat.
